NATIONAL CONFERENCE – 2017

Indira Gandhi School and College of Nursing conducted the first National Conference on Quality of Nursing: Infection Control in Clinical Setting on Friday 24th of March 2017. This conference brought together over 360 delegates and 30 special guest participants from various nursing colleges, nursing schools, hospitals and health centers in and out of Uttar Pradesh.

The conference began with a message by SGMT Administrator Wg. Cdr (Retd) Manoj Muttu and the chief guest Prof.  Mrs. D.L. Suhasini Agrahari IMS, BHU, highlighted the need and importance of quality of nursing services for prevention of infection in clinical setting. The conference saw enthusiastic participation by scholars and professionals from universities across the country. Scientific research papers were presented by several members of M.SC nursing faculty on nursing care qualities and aspects of Infection Control discussed by eminent speakers namely:

  1. D.L. Suhasini Agrahari IMS, BHU Varanasi.
  2. Prof. Biji Biju Dean, College of Nursing Saifai, Etawah.
  3. D.E. Bhaskara Raj, Principal, IGSCON
  4. Shamil C.B., Vice Principal Bhagyoday Tirth Nursing College, Bhopal.
  5. B. Chetan Kumar H.O.D of Med-Surgical Nursing, IGSCON.

The students participated enthusiastically in the national conference through a poster competition about the conference theme and won prizes for the same. A few chosen students were also awarded for their exemplary and outstanding performance in academics through the year. The conference concluded with a valedictory session addressed by IGGI director Mrs. Sharmila Roychowdhury.
